“I came to Raleigh Orthopaedic after having suffered a minor cerebellar stroke that left me unable to walk properly and had all but drained my stamina. Over a period of just 10 weeks with two sessions a week, Kathy and Alexius have me balancing on one leg standing on a small trampoline! I may never be a circus acrobat, but I can now resume my daily activities without concerns about falling over and without the need for support, either with a stick or another person’s arm. Without this help, I could not have recovered as quickly or as fully and I now have a full set of exercises to help me to maintain and improve my condition. Thanks, Kathy and Alexius and Raleigh Orthopaedics!”

Following rotator cuff surgery, I started physical therapy with Kathy McPherson at Raleigh Orthopaedic’s Morrisville location. I wondered if I would be able to make a full recovery. More so, I worried I would not recover in time to go on an already-paid-for snow ski trip in five months.

However, Kathy evaluated and treated me with manual therapy techniques including deep tissue work, to help me recover function. She taught me stretching and strengthening exercises and created a home exercise program that helped restore my mobility until I finally progressed to full range of motion. Additionally, Alexius Benedict, a PT aide, showed me how to properly use the pneumatic Keiser equipment and jungle gym, such that I was able to regain sufficient strength to go on my ski trip.

As an added benefit, Scott Anspach, manager of Active Bodez Fitness, designed a holistic personal fitness program to improve my overall physical fitness. Everyone was always pleasant to work with and I highly recommend Raleigh Orthopaedic’s Morrisville location. Thanks for everything.”

As a result of Kathy McPherson’s patience and excellent knowledge regarding my “back,” I am able to better control my back pain. Her working with me has enabled me to function (with less pain) and do daily chores.

She is the most efficient Physical Therapist that I have worked with regarding back pain. If needed, I look forward to future sessions. Also, if needed, I would be pleased to recommend Kathy to others.
